Summer fun in January

Since it was so nice on Friday, we took Grace out and let her burn some cabin fever off! She got out the ol' bicycle and rode it up and down the sidewalks. She is getting very good at getting the bike going on her own, so she thinks she is ready for a bigger bike. We will see! She did have a little trouble going through the snow!

Delilah is staying the WHOLE night!!!

Delilah is one of my old daycare kids. She is the daughter of one of my very good friends, Shantal and Eric. She came and stayed the night with us Friday night. Grace was very excited, she LOVES Delilah! They played lots of "house", took a bubble bath and got to finally use Grace's "Cool-Bake Oven" she got for Christmas. This thing "bakes" the cake using the cooling from ice you put in the little tray at the bottom of the oven. Kind of strange but it worked and the girls liked the cakes.

Don't leave your camera unattended!!!

This is what happens when you leave your camera laying around!!! Ya folks that right those are my sister Jennifer's parents.

Basketball Derek

Derek played against MD tonight which is his cousin Jacob's team. Derek's team ended up winning but it was a fun game to watch. Derek made a few baskets and a few rebounds. He is improving with each game. Way to go Derek!!!

Picnic in the living room

As most of you know...ITS COLD...and my three year old is going insane being cooped up in the house. So I made chicken nugget and french fries Sun and we had a picnic in our living room. She loved it and she ate all her food which is a bonus since she rarely eats anything these days!

Grace's Homework

Too cute, Grace got homework sent home today. It is a little backpack filled with a book and related activities for us to do with her. She was sooo excited. She and I read the book then worked on all the work. It came with plastic pages and a dry erase marker so she can show us how well she can "write" and hold a pencil. It was a lot of fun. She was tired after she got all THREE pages done though...lol. She was also excited to sit at the table Uncle Ryan gave her to work, because it is the only thing that is just her size for her to work on. So Thanks Uncle Ryan again!!!

Winter Jam '09

Saturday afternoon and night I went with our Youth Group, IMPACT, to Winter Jam '09. The above picture is all who performed. It was amazing!!! I have never been to a Christian Rock concert before and can not wait to go again!!! What an amazing thing to be apart of! There were 6,000 kids, teens, and adults rocking out to some really awesome music. The feeling of love and peace was great. That many people in one place praying and then rocking out! Sorry if I am going on and on, it was just soooo cool.
I don't really care if they label me a Jesus Freak!!!

Wishes

Whosever room this is should be ashamed!
His underwear is hanging on the lamp.
His raincoat is there in the overstuffed chair,
And the chair is becoming quite mucky and damp.
His workbook is wedged in the window,
His sweater's been thrown on the floor.
His scarf and one ski are beneath the TV,
And his pants have been carelessly hung on the door.
His books are all jammed in the closet,
His vest has been left in the hall.
A lizard named Ed is asleep in his bed,
And his smelly old sock has been stuck to the wall.
Whosever room this is should be ashamed!
Donald or Robert or Willie or--Huh? You say it's mine?
Oh, dear,I knew it looked familiar!

I wish I had someone to come clean the house for me free of charge once a month!!! I can go to my mom, in laws, brothers, sisters or friends houses and clean and never complain at all. I just hate cleaning my own house!!! Why is that? Maybe we should make a co-op and I will clean your house and you come clean my house...lol. Yeah right then I would end up being like my Aunt who pays a cleaning lady to clean her house but usually cleans before the lady shows up??? That is soooo funny!!! OH well, just wanted to get that off my chest today.

Hey Hey...Ho Ho...

This Giant Cow Has Got To Go!!!!
Our friend Micheal who's nickname is Pun gave this to Grace. It was a great gift until the seams started to break and little styrofoam balls leaked out everywhere!!! It had to go. However Grace wanted to ask Pun-Pun (what she calls him) if it was ok. He said to go ahead and cut it up for hamburger...lol. We threw it away on friday and this is the last picture of Grace with the giant cow. Sadly to say that the cow even being a stuffed animal looked kind of sad sitting out by the garbage in the snow ;(

Interview me...Kati

I let my cousin Kati interview me. She was able to ask me anything and I would answer them on my blog so here goes. You can see her blog by clicking on It's All About Ty on the right of my page under the blogs I follow.

1)If you could change one thing in your life what would it be? Why? I would have went to college. Even though I am a stay at home mom and probably would be even if I had went to college. I feel I missed out on an opportunity to expand myself through education and different experiences. I genuinely envy people who have been to college whether they are working in the field they went for or not. I don't think I am a dumb person but I know there are a lot of things I do not know and wish I did know.

2)If you could live anywhere else but good 'ol MD, where would it be? Oh that is a hard one. I would go anywhere. I always had plans to leave and go to Minnesota or Chicago, that was before. I live here as a matter of circumstance. This is where my husband grew up and where most my family is within an hours drive. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to have my kids this close to Grandma and Grandpa. If Brooks or I had different jobs then maybe we would move but I think we are always going to be here.

3) Excluding your spouse, your children, your parents, and any other immediate family member, who is your favorite person? Why? No need to say names if you don't want to. Oh wow, that is a hard one. A friend of mine, she is always there to talk with, to laugh, to have a drink with, to watch trash tv with. Even if she is busy and can't do those things I know that she is still my friend. We can talk everyday or not for a week and everything is always ok between us. I like not having a high maintenance friendship with her.

4)Someone offers to tell you the date and time you are going to die. You know they will be telling the absolute truth. Do you take them up on their offer? Why or why not? No, I would rather wait out my life just like everyone else. Never knowing when my time is called. I am just trying to live the right way and do things the right way and when I am called I am called. I do not want to know. I think it would make it all the more difficult to live the time left knowing.

5)If you could have any one talent and be totally and completely awesome at it naturally, what would it be? Why? Write books. I have ideas and thoughts floating in my head at all times. I just do not know how to get them out in any sort of order. I wish I could write great novels that would be classics that would change the world!

Care to play along?

1. Leave me a comment saying, “Interview me.”

2. I will respond by emailing you five questions. I get to pick the questions.

3. You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.

4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.

5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Just plain COLD

Nothing going really. Grace and I have been cooped up in the house for a couple days now. We have watched movies, colored, read, played, chased each other, and done workbooks. I am ready for SPRING!!! The above pictures are from snowcrystals.com this is a very cool website, check it out!

Bird Hunting

Brooks called me at work this morning and asked if he could take Grace bird hunting. Um, well just exactly how does this hunting thing work. So he filled me in and I said I didn't know. I called my dad and he gave me the answer "Kelley Ann, I always took you." So needless to say Grace went. She stopped by the school to see me before they left and I started to tell her to be careful and to listen to dad and she replied with "I know I know, Dad already told me everything!" Brooks informed me that they really didn't walk much, and didn't really hunt much. They mostly rode around in the field and he let her drive the truck and ride in the front seat. She did get to see her Uncle Dylan, Papa Wade, and "Uncle" Shawn, as well as the dogs Mooch and Gus. She is ready to go again tomorrow!

Revolutionary Exercise Secret From Grace

Hey all you slaves to the exercise equipment and routines. I have the answer to what can and will help all of you exercise better, faster, and help you get skinny!!! Grace and I were laying in bed the other night watching tv and one of those exercise ball commercials came on. You know the ones that say "Buy this ball for $19.95 and you will lose ten inches in ten minutes in ten days...yada yada yada." Well, Grace is all about info-mercials of any kind.

She sits up in bed and says "Mom, you need one of those!"

"An exercise ball" I ask

"No, a bra! It will help you exercise and make you skinny like those girls! Next time we go to the store we can get one for you and one for me."

"Grace, I don't think a bra is what helps those girls be skinny honey."

"Well, not skinny, but just to help exercise better."

Ok, so now I am at the point of laughing my head off. I yell into the living room to make sure Brooks is getting all this. He of course is and can't really answer me because he too is laughing his head off.

So you heard it here first Ladies! Get a Bra and you will exercise better and get skinny!
