Baptism

I was baptized today. I have attended church off and on my entire life and have been attending Dallas Christian Church since November of last year. I went to this church when I was a kid too. It is my church and I love the family I have there. I now feel complete. I am glad that I have finally confessed my faith.

Grace didn't really know what to think of it. Her eyes were big and for once she didn't fuss a lot in church. She did yell "Hi, Mommy!" when I was done. Everyone got a big chuckle out of it. She also told me "Congratulation on being BATHTIZED!" Too funny!!!

Homecoming Parade

Grace, Lexi & Jasmine

The Homecoming Parade was lots of fun. Here are the pictures of the two floats. The a.m. class is Old Mac Donald and the pm class was Farmer in the Dell. Grace didn't want to ride on her class float because her other friends were on the pm float. The two girls she is pictured with are grandchildren and children of people we are close friends with.

All the kids were very excited because we were behind the band and they all got to enjoy the music. Grace REALLY liked it as every day for the past two or three weeks the band has been practicing and Grace has been able to enjoy a "parade" most all the days when they marched by our house.

Cara Wadle who was the big trooper and dressed in the Cow Costume!

Pajama Day

So here is what Grace looked like today. I couldn't find my curlers so I drew inspiration from "Little House on the Prairie" days and made these. She looked very funny. I don't think she won today but oh well. She loved going to school in her pjs!!!

Homecoming Week

It is Homecoming Week. That means that the kids at school get to have "dress up" days, paint the town business's windows with "Go Saints" and what not, they will crown a Queen and King, and then of course have the good 'ol football game on Friday Night.

On Monday, we got to school and found out it was Inside-Out Day, so I quickly ushered Grace to the bathroom to turn her clothes around, much to her confusion!

Monday and Tuesday night the parents and some kids worked on the Preschool Homecoming Float. I didn't take Grace the first night thinking that no other kids would be there but they were and it was no big deal. So on Tuesday night I took her with me and the camera. Every year the High School Students pick a theme for homecoming, this year is "Agriculture". So the Preschool floats are "The Farmer in the Dell" and "Old Mac Donald Had a Farm" with the saying "M-D IS GOING TO PLOW OVER TRI-COUNTY" It is rather cute. The kids are all dressing in farmer clothes, Grace is wearing bibs, a Pioneer Seed Corn hat, boots, and probably a handkerchief. We all had a lot of fun working on the float and getting to know new parents and what not.

I also learned that the High School kids come over each day to judge the little kids' costumes and Grace won on inside out day! Wednesday, is Pajama Day. She is going to wear her Disney Princess pj's and I am going to put curlers in her hair and maybe ratt her hair up a little to make it look like bed head. I will take pictures and put more up later this week.

This is a picture of Owen, he is Grace's 3rd or 4th cousin(not for sure) but wanted to add his pic because it is sooo weird how much they look alike...at least that is what his mom and I think.

Mom's little helper

Grace LOVES to help me with chores, except of course cleaning her own room! Here is a picture of her mopping our little entry way. I think she cleaned it for almost ten minutes...lets just say it is probably the cleanest it has ever been. She loves helping with dishes and taking the chairs out of the kitchen so I can sweep and mop. I just hope she is this enthusiastic about it in a couple of years when she gets to do them all on her own...yeah right!

Steve's birthday

My brother Steve's birthday was a couple weeks ago but I have been busy so here is the picture of Jennifer, Steven, & I. We all had a really good time.

Lori Brown

This is one of my very best friends! I know that sounds like I am in junior high but I don't really know what else to call her. She is awesome! She makes me laugh and is always there for me no matter what. I am sooo excited for her, she starts a new job tomorrow and things are looking up for her. Just wanted to put something about her on here.
