Go Panthers!!!

Derek is playing Basketball again this year. Derek is number 40. Here are the pictures from his first game. They didn't win this one but they played well. Grace loves watching her cousin play any kind of ball. She even got a post game hug from him! Good luck this season Derek!!!

Ornaments

We have been busy making everyone Christmas ornaments. I am letting her decide who gets them. So when she decided she wanted to send one to Uncle Denny, the one in California...as she put it, I thought oh how cute. She is so funny sometimes.

Happy Birthday to ME!

Today marks the first day of my last year in my twenties. Here are some pictures to enjoy of me as I have grown older. I will post later to let you know what exciting things happened on my birthday.

Happy Thanksgiving

We traveled to Omaha for Thanksgiving. This has pretty much become our tradition since my sister has moved out there. Last year just Brooks, Grace and I went out and then we all went to the zoo with some friends the Orr's. This year however everyone went. My Mom & Dad, my brother Steve, Haley & Derek, and Us of course. The top picture is of Grace being her usual silly self. I think she was very excited about going to Aunt Jen & Uncle Ryan's house. Also, maybe a little tired of being in the car. Jen did all the cooking which I think she loves to do anyway and she doesn't complain so we go ahead and let her do it. She also is the best cook in the family too so it should be her job right? For some reason I didn't really take that many pictures but here are a few of the ones I did take.

Heartache

I know, I know, I know. However I have to share this with all of you!

Grace woke up this morning and asked me "Did the snow melt yet?".

I am puzzled as to why, after finally getting snow and remembering how yesterday she was SO EXCITED about the snow, that she would want the snow to melt? "No, honey, the snow is going to be here for quite some time now. It won't be gone now for a couple months. Why?"

She replied, "Because, Dad said that when the snow melted the Cubbies would be back on TV and I wanted to watch them tonight!"

WHAT!!! Poor child is starting herself out at three for terrible terrible heartache. Do I warn her now or let her find out for herself? Are there support groups for Mothers of Cubs Fans (MCF)? Let me know if anyone out there has any suggestion on how to help my poor daughter through this.

Bowling Saturday Night

Last Saturday night we had a family night out bowling in Chariton. Brooks' family: Aunt Mary, Uncle Dennis, Sam, Carter, Brandon, Uncle Denny, and Jason. My family: Haley & Derek & Haley's boyfriend Jeremy. And of course Grace! We all had a great time. I don't know the scores that everyone got other than Grace's first game beat Derek's second game score, so that was sort of funny. Oh well. I didn't bowl, I didn't want to embarass everyone with my high score...ya right. The guy who owns the bowling alley is also a cousin of my father in law's. He has just installed lights and a fog machine and it is very cool! He also just got all new shoes. The prices are very reasonable too. The video is of Carter dancing...he was very much in the groove of things!
